Daisy, Lakitu, and King Boo are the Japanese Exclusive characters that can be downloaded in Japanese Mario Kart Arcade GP DX game. Rosalina, Metal Mario, Baby Mario, and Baby Peach are the only characters that can be downloaded into the game. You can change your items and characters before a race.
New tracks and characters are unlocked by getting first place. Items and Karts are unlocked randomly by collecting Mario Coins (Like in Mario Kart 8 without the coin limit). There are 19 characters over all in the game. In GP Mode, the player would start with three items and one kart, and only the first track of the first 3 cups unlocked. It also features a commentary from Ash Ketchum (Rika Matsumoto) in Japanese and Jack Merluzzi in English. Some features from Mario Kart: Double Dash!! and Mario Kart 7 (Such as Double's Dash's shooter, and Coins) are in the gameplay. Once past the character selection screen, the player is given two choices of racing modes: Grand Prix, Clone Mode, and Two player mode. This picture appears on the left-hand side of the screen while racing. Orders received for Mario Kart GP DX Arcade will be changed to curbside delivery.When starting a game, players can take a picture of themselves and decorate it with some decals (Mario themes and Pirate themes) found below.
